2026 Shenandoah Backpacking Trek (Remaining Balance) - June 14-21

Cancellations and Refunds: All payments are final. Refunds are not guaranteed and are subject to the Troop 54's ability to recover funds from third-party providers (e.g., airlines, hotel, park, service). In most cases, if the Troop has already committed funds that cannot be recovered, the payment is non-refundable.

The Basics

What: Shenandoah National Park, 5-Day Mid-Adventure backpacking trek

When: Sunday June 14 to Sunday, June 21, 2026

Where: Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

Travel:

  • Air and ground transportation provided by the Troop

Fees:

Total cost is $1,500.

  • $200 deposit for Scouts, $200 deposit for Adults, non-refundable.

  • Just 75 miles from the bustle of Washington, D.C., Shenandoah National Park is a land bursting with cascading waterfalls, spectacular vistas, fields of wildflowers, and quiet wooded hollows. With over 200,000 acres of protected lands that are haven to deer, songbirds, and black bear, there's so much to explore.

Prerequisites

Scouts

  • 12 years of age AND completed the 7th grade prior to start of trip

  • Commitment to pre-trip shakedown and preparation plan (see shakedown guidelines here)
