Packing List:
Sea Base provides meals, dry bags, fishing equipment and nearly everything else you will need on your adventure.
Individuals are required to use their own mask & snorkel at Sea Base. Sea Base will provide fins, a snorkel vest and mesh bag.
Activities
The Sea Base Bahamas Adventure is a six day, five-night "live-aboard" sailing trek based out of Marsh Harbour in the Abaco Islands, Bahamas. Expect to sail on a 40–50 foot sailing vessel that serves as your mobile home, classroom, and base of operations for the week. Activities include sailing, navigation, snorkeling, island exploration, and reef fishing.
Prerequisites
Scouts
Must be at least 13 years old by July 19, 2026
Weight cannot exceed 295 pounds
Strong swimmer; passed BSA Swimmer’s Test within the past 12 months
Adults
Registered member of Scouting America
Current Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) certification (available through your myscouting.org account)
Required Training: Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat, and Hazardous Weather Training
At least one adult leader in each crew must complete Wilderness First Aid Training (WFA) and Basic CPR/AED
Weight cannot exceed 295 pounds
Strong swimmer; Passed BSA Swimmer’s Test within the past 12 months
