The Basics

What: Florida Sea Base

When: Monday June 9 - Sunday June 15, 2025

Travel:

  • Air and ground travel to be arranged by Troop

You MUST check-in with the Campmaster when arriving and leaving camp.

Fees:

Estimated total cost is $2,300-2,400.

  • $200 deposit for scouts and adults

Activities

Six days of Scuba Diving, with up to 11 dives and learning about underwater navigation, buoyancy control and a night dive.

Water temperatures should be warm (80-85 degrees), with visibility of 50 – 100 feet. We’ll see tropical fish, sea turtles, vibrant coral reefs, and maybe wrecks.

Key gear, including BCD, regulator, tanks and boat, will be provided by Sea Base.

Prerequisites

Scouts

  • SCUBA Certified

  • Must be at least 13 years old on June 9, 2025

Adults

  • Wilderness First Aid certification (see here for details on this certification)

  • Current YPT (Youth Protection Training) certification (available through your myscouting.org account)

  • BSA Registered
