2025 Enchanted Rock Campout March 28 - 30

Registration Groups:

Adults are welcome to attend so long as they are registered adult leaders with BSA and the troop. All adults will be assigned volunteer roles during the weekend. 

Adults and Scouts please register in the correct group:

• Camper

• Camper and Climber Climbing has been cancelled - we didn’t have enough signups in time for it to make the cut

  • Climbers must each fill out the Release Form

  • Climbers should get an email confirmation once submitting the release form, please fwd a copy to the campmaster Christi Megow at christi.megow@gmail.com

You will get a confirmation email if you have successfully registered.

What: Enchanted Rock Campout

Activities include

• Climbing

• Cook-Off

• Hiking

• Caving

• Backpacking

Where: Enchanted Rock State Natural Area (~4 hours from Houston), 16710 Ranch Rd. 965

  • Base camp sites: 12-17

When: March 28 - 30, 2025

• The troop has booked a coach bus with bathroom and plenty of room for personal & patrol gear. The bus holds 56 passengers including room for gear. We prefer and expect all campers (scouts and adults) to utilize the bus, with the exception of troop gear haulers. The cost of the bus is included in the registration. Don’t delay registration because the bus may fill up!

• Departure Friday, March 28 from St. John the Divine - River Oaks Blvd. via bus

  • Assemble at St. John’s at 4:30pm

  • Departure 4:45pm SHARP

  • Bring a sack dinner to eat on bus

• Return Sunday, March 30 at troop warehouse at 5936 S Loop E Fwy, Houston, TX 77033 via bus

  • Return at approximately 4pm (actual ETA will be sent out on day of travel)

  • The bus will stop for lunch on the drive home, Sunday lunch is included in the cost

  • Raccoon Patrol has load-out / load-in duty for this campout

    • Load-out is on Wednesday March 26 at 7:00pm at the warehouse

• If you plan to drive separately, please indicate your approximate arrival date/time. Scouts are NOT allowed to drive themselves to a campout.

Please let the Campmaster know if your drop off or pickup dates/times will be different.

You MUST check-in with the Campmaster when arriving and leaving camp.

Fees: 

• $130 for campers only (scouts and adults)

• $315 for campers and climbers (scouts and adults)

Fees cover transportation, campsite, firewood, park entry, and meals.
